Digital Competence Frameworks for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens.

 

About the project:

The Department of Information Technologies participates in the dComFra project within Erasmus+ and is a co-coordinator of WP4 – Content development & Pilot use of dComFra resources.

The purpose of this project is to improve the development situation of digital competence in Ukraine, to harmonize it with the European mainstream by adapting digital competence frameworks for citizens and educators, to create the Ukrainian National Digital Coalition; to reform in-service teacher education and provide experiences of 'best practice' and how digital competences could be further developed more generally and adapted to the challenges of the higher education sector within society as a whole. The motivation is the goal set by the European Commission in the digital skills and jobs coalition, in the frameworks of DigComp and digital agendas for Europe. The aim of the project is:

  • create an effective network of the Ukrainian National Digital Coalition among educational institutions, associations, public bodies and business representatives from Ukraine;
  • design and implement digital competence frameworks in Ukraine;
  • issue recommendations for adjusting the curriculum of digital competence of study according to the Digital European Agenda and the modern needs of the labor market;
  • create digital competence training frameworks for teachers and citizens;
  • to provide high-quality digital competence training for different social strata of society.

 

The following activities will be implemented to achieve the project objectives:

  • Conducting an analysis of the EU DigComp frameworks.
  • Preparation of a report on the analysis of digital competence needs for Ukraine.
  • Development of a digital competence framework, an e-platform and 14 learning modules for different groups of citizens and educators with practical tasks.
  • Implementation of pilot training for 210 teachers and 140 internally displaced persons and war veterans.
  • Implementation of workshops, educational meetings and events.

 

The project is financed by the Erasmus+ program, project no. 598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP.

Project Status: The project was launched in November 2018 and the duration is 36 months. It is expected to be extended by 12 months for a total project duration of 48 months.
