The bachelor seminar organized by the Department of Information Technologies will take place on 17.1. and 25. 1. 2024.
The venue of the seminar will be in the FEM meeting hall – E155.
The seminar is mandatory for all students who are writing their bachelor thesis at DIT since it is a part of the Bachelor Thesis 3 credit.
The goal of the seminar is to let students present and defend their work and achieved preliminary results and conclusions. The seminar is a dry run of the real thesis defence at the final state exam. This will also help to improve the thesis based on the received feedback.
Please keep the presentation structure such as following:
- Title page (thesis title, name, program, supervisor)
- Methodology
- Methodology
- Practical part (2 - 3 slides)
- Results and discussions (preliminary) and Conclusion (preliminary)
The registration starts from 11th December 2023 and closes on 10th January 2024. Each student will participate The application deadline is January 10, 2024 - places are limited. time per student is 10 minutes (5 mins presentation + 5 mins for Q&A).

The committee will evaluate thesis presentations by their merit including the following criteria: • Goal of the thesis (must be in line with the assignment in the UIS) • Methods (must be in line with the assignment in the UIS) • Content and contribution of the thesis • Conclusions and recommendations • Presentation

Organizational instructions:
As a deposit, students send their presentation by e-mail to Ing. Hellers no later than the day before by 3:00 p.m.
Students will stick to a maximum of 5 minutes for the BT presentation.
