About the project
Smartskills is an innovative project that will collaboratively develop tools and support to bridge the skills and knowledge gap between VET educators and rural agri-SMEs/farmers so that we recognise the link between digital literacy and the required climate action and use innovative tools to address and improve sustainability challenges and become change makers in and for Europe.
Project objectives
SMART SKILLS aims to strengthen digital literacy and the exchange of innovative practices across the EU agricultural sector. The initiative is in line with the urgent objectives of combating climate change, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and promoting rural sustainability. The objectives include:
• Addressing cultural and professional barriers to digital adoption in agriculture
• Evaluation and sharing of best practices in digital technologies in the agricultural sector
• Direct multiplication of our results with regional stakeholders/rural developers

Members of KIT PEF ČZU participate in the RURBANIVE project: new online courses are available to the public
Members of the Department of Information Technology (KIT) of the Faculty of Food and Agriculture of the Czech University of Life Sciences are participating in the international Horizon Europe RURBANIVE project, which supports innovation and strengthening links between rural and urban areas. One of its practical outputs is new free online courses that combine food industry expertise with digital education.
