The ČZU team won the Škoda Biz Sim Cup 2021 competition

On November 26, 2021, ŠKODA AUTO, as, in cooperation with the Department of Information Technologies PEF ČZU in Prague, the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, organized the national final of the economic and managerial skills competition ŠKODA Biz Sim Cup 2021, which, due to the poor epidemiological situation, was held in MS Teams online environment. In tough competition, the team from PEF ČZU in Prague named "Team looking for a name" won first place.

9 winning teams from the school rounds that took place in October and September at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, the University of Economics and the University of Hradec Králové came to test their managerial and economic skills.

The order of the teams that achieved the highest value of the company, which depended not only on the profit from the sold goods, but also on the financial responsibility resulting from the level of indebtedness, were placed as follows in the final round:

  1. Team looking for a name (PEF ČZU)
  2. Working title_final version (VŠE)
  3. Pumpers (VŠE)
  4. "B" Team (UHK)
  5. Too bad not to try 🙂 (ČZU)
  6. Team1 (UHK)
  7. Karel (University of Economics)
  8. Ci(o)nquerors (UHK)
  9. Saprise (CZU)

The goal of the simulation game was to establish appropriate logistics strategies, in which it was necessary to supply the central warehouse with products from the supplier and the regional warehouses connected to the central warehouse. The sales of the products sold depended on an appropriately chosen pricing policy. Product prices had to be chosen with an appropriate margin to compete with other teams. The simulation game was implemented in the environment of the SAP S/4 HANA system. The contestants thus became familiar with the leading corporate information system.

The winning team from PEF ČZU in Prague received a cup and a reward of 40,000 CZK. The team that placed second received a reward of 24,000 CZK and the third team received a beautiful 16,000 CZK.

Thank you to all participating teams for participating and congratulations to the winners!

On Monday, December 6, 2021, a cup for the winner, a voucher for a financial reward and a T-shirt will be handed over by the dean Ing. Martin Pelikán, Ph.D.
