The Department of Information Technologies PEF CZU in Prague organized a workshop on the topic of processing 3D cloud data.

The foreign expert Dr. Serkan Kartal, who works at the Department of Information Technologies PEF ČZU as a postdoc. Dr. Kartal presented an overview of algorithms for preprocessing data collected by crop growth monitoring platforms. Thanks to these algorithms, collected crop data (point clouds) can be separated from other objects, soil and noise. During the workshop, the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithms were discussed and the results of testing the algorithms on sample data were presented. 

The workshop was organized by the Department of Information Technologies PEF ČZU in Prague as part of the traditional wp Diploma Seminar and Scientific Research Workshop in Všeradice on February 27, 2020.
