On April 18-19, 2024, representatives Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Economics, CZU in Prague, Ing. Eva Kánská, Ph.D. and doc. Ing. Pavel Šimek, Ph.D., participated Kick-off meeting international project AGRITECH EU – Digital agriculture for sustainable development, which is financed under the programme Digital Europe and coordinated University of Pisa.
The goal is to connect digitalization and sustainable agriculture
The EU AGRITECH project brings together 13 organizations from 6 European countries, including 7 universities, 5 companies (from startups to large enterprises) and research center of excellenceTogether they strive to create European catalogue of innovative learning modules, which will offer students and academic staff cutting-edge digital competencies in the area precision agriculture, automation, use of AI, drones, data management and traceability of supply chainsAttention will also be paid to socio-economic and legal aspects digitalization of agriculture.
Getting started: from rules to collaboration
The meeting took place on Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-Environmental Sciences University of Pisa. The first day was opened by a presentation European Commission representative, which introduced the rules of the program. This was followed by national presentations on the state of readiness of the partners and the organizational arrangements for the administrative part of the project.
The second day was mainly devoted to architecture of the catalog of learning activities, where individual partners presented their contributions and involvement. At the end, there was a discussion on teaching methodologies, involving companies in the project and exchanging good practices.
