From the winter semester of 2018/2019, PEF CZU students have the opportunity to try working with real data in the S/4 HANA information system from SAP, which is the largest global player on the business information systems market.

The SAP S/4 HANA information system is available at PEF through the university's membership in the SAP University Alliance. Alliance membership and SAP support in teaching are secured by the PEF Department of Information Technology. Teachers have at their disposal a set of eleven comprehensive learning modules containing presentations, practical examples, case studies and assignments for independent work in the system. The teaching is focused on integrated business processes such as production, warehouse management, accounting, controlling, HR, etc. A real information system with data from the fictitious international company Global Bike is available. Educators can include and combine individual topics in their lessons as needed.

Over the course of two semesters, 100 students in the English study programs Business Administration, Economics and Management and Informatics have tried working with SAP within the professional subjects taught by wp. As part of an elective course SAP S/4 HANA Introduction 15 students received a certificate. The course was launched for the first time in the summer semester 2018/2019. Another 7 students chose the subject of their bachelor's or diploma thesis, where they will use access to the SAP system.

The Department of Information Technology also organized a workshop with a certified SAP trainer from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, which was attended by twenty PEF educators. The participants got to know the system and the possibilities of working with educational modules. Membership in the SAP University Alliance and the organization of events are supported by PEF management. Special thanks go to the dean of PEF, Ing. Martin Pelikán, Ph.D.

A workshop is planned for September 12, 2019, where educators will be able to familiarize themselves with the news in the information system and experience with the use of SAP in teaching. The workshop will take place under the leadership of Ing. Miloš Ulman, Ph.D.

In the winter semester 2019/2020, students will be offered an introductory course on the SAP information system, prepared by the Department of Information Technologies in cooperation with ŠKODA AUTO IT, and the SAP S/4 HANA Introduction course.
