On January 30, 2024, the Department of Information Technology PEF organized a friendly meeting of partner companies as a thank you for the cooperation so far. The representatives thus took part in a guided tour of the basic food operations, which are part of the Food Pavilion, which serves as a Learning Center for the development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of students of the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources (FAPPZ) at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague.
The workers were first welcomed by the dean of FAPPZ prof. Ing. Josef Soukup, CSc. They were then introduced specifically to the technologies of meat, milk, fruit and vegetable processing, oil pressing, a bakery with a confectionery and a small research brewery by the head of operations Petr Kadlec. The excursion to the local mill attracted great attention. In the pavilion, they also visited the gastro operation and areas for testing products in a modern sensory laboratory and nutritional counseling. An interesting feature for visitors to the new pavilion are the educational walkways from which individual operations can be observed without having to go through the hygiene loop.
At the very end of the tour, there was also a tasting of the Food Pavilion's products.
It was a unique opportunity for company representatives to get to know such operations. According to the reviews, the excursion was very positively evaluated. The organizers thank the employees of the Food Pavilion and the FAPPZ for the opportunity to conduct a perfectly commented tour.
