A series of bachelor seminars at DIT will be held 15th and 20th January, 2026. The seminars are intended for all students who are working on their bachelor's thesis at DIT (FSE graduation date May/June 2026) and have not completed their seminar participation.
The seminar will be held in the FEM conference room – E155 and E209.
The seminar will be split into two separate sections – the morning section (9am to noon) and the afternoon section (1pm to 4pm).
The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:
- Goal of the thesis
- Methods
- Content and contribution of the thesis
· Conclusions and recommendations
· Presentation
Make sure that your work and presentation will be prepared properly because poor quality may result in not receiving the credit from your supervisor (these students will have to postpone their finals).
Yellow card means that the SFE for given student and the granting of credit for Bachelor Thesis no. 3 in this academic year is at the discretion of the thesis supervisor.
Red card The goal of the seminar is to let students present and defend their work and reached results / conclusions. It is assumed that the students will present preliminary results and conclusions. The seminar also serves as practice for finals and as a source of feedback and remarks for improvements which can be added to the work before the actual submission.
The aim of the seminar is to present and defend the purpose of the work and the achieved or planned results of the solution (of course, it is assumed that the work is completed or in the final stage of processing). Students will try to defend BT in front of a committee (similar to FSE), then they can incorporate the comments of teachers and colleagues into BT.
Registration for the seminar is open from December 15, 2025. The deadline for applications is January 6, 2026. Your active participation is expected throughout the duration of one of the sections (morning or afternoon). The time limit for the student's defense is 10 minutes, of which 5 minutes for the presentation.
