The Department of Information Technologies participates in the Smart Skills project as part of Erasmus+. Coordinates WP 3 – WP3 SMARTSKILL DIGITAL LEARNING PLATFORM.

About the project

Smartskills is an innovative project that will collaboratively develop tools and support to bridge the skills and knowledge gap between VET educators and rural agri-SMEs/farmers to recognize the link between digital literacy and required climate action and use innovative tools to solve and improve sustainability issues and become change makers in and for Europe.

Project objectives

The aim of SMART SKILLS is to strengthen digital literacy and the exchange of innovative practices throughout the EU agri-sector. The initiative is in line with the urgent objectives of combating climate change, meeting the goals of sustainable development and promoting rural sustainability. Goals include:

• Addressing cultural and professional barriers to digital adoption in agriculture

• Evaluation and sharing of best practices in digital technologies in the agricultural sector

• Directly multiplying our results with regional stakeholders / rural developers
