On August 2, 2018, the final presentation of the project was held at San Diego State University, which was jointly prepared by the Center for Teaching and Research of International Business at San Diego State University (SDSU CIBER) and the Center for Data Analytics and Intelligence (CENDAI) at PEF ČZU in Prague.
The presentation was the culmination of the MBA course BA 795 – International Business Development Practicum at Fowler College SDSU, which included a week-long stay of American students in Prague associated with activities organized by a team of pedagogues and employees PEF CZU. The project focused on international business consulting aimed to conduct a survey and propose potential opportunities to enter the US market for the multinational Belgian company La Lorraine Bakery Group, represented by regional director Ing. Josef Láska. The project was implemented by a group of five MBA students from Fowler College SDSU and master's student PEF ČZU Bc. Ondřej Valášek. The International Business MBA program at SDSU's Fowler College is consistently ranked among the top 15 MBA programs in the US.
The course was created and led by prof. Martina Musteen, director SDSU CYBER. Furthermore, Ing. participated in the professional preparation of the course and teaching. Miloš Ulman, Ph.D., assistant professor of the Department of Information Technologies and head CENDAI at PEF ČZU in Prague. The team had a large share in the implementation of the professional and cultural program in Prague Department of International Relations PEF ČZU headed by Ing. Jan Huček, Ph.D.
The consulting project offers a unique opportunity to Czech companies or companies operating on the Czech market that are considering entering the American market. Through the project, companies will receive practical information and recommendations directly from the source that they can immediately use to plan their strategy for entering the US. At the same time, companies can build long-term relationships through American students in a market that is one of the most dynamically growing regions in the world.
