Students of the Faculty of Business Economics of the Czech University of Life Sciences (FEB ČZU) have achieved significant success in the field of business information systems. As part of the course "Accounting in ERP", parts of the study program Business Analyst, eighteen students successfully tackled seven challenging case studies in the system SAP S/4HANA – with a success rate of over 80 %. They were rewarded with certificates of completion of the course, which will open the door to the world of data analytics and ERP practice.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES played a key role here – not only in methodological guidance, but above all in the technical provision of teaching and connection with practice. In cooperation with Department of Business and Finance has created a foundation for student teaching that combines technical skills with knowledge of economic processes. It is the emphasis on the IT side of SAP systems that advances teaching at PEF.

The ceremonial presentation of certificates was attended by the Dean Emeritus and Vice-Dean for Educational Activities, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Martin Pelikán, Ph.D., the course guarantor, Ing. Mgr. Marek Dvořák, Ph.D., Ing. Paed. IGIP, and the expert from practice, Ing. Tomáš Rain, Ph.D. from STORMWARE. Their presence underlined the importance of student success and the quality of teaching, which The Department of Information Technology has been developing for a long time with the aim of preparing graduates for the demanding requirements of the digital job market.

This activity confirms that connecting the academic environment with IT practice can provide students with an important career advantage.
