On September 11, 2020, a team of students led by Ing. Miloš Ulman Ph.D. of the sixth year of the Left of Boom VI conference.

 

This time the conference took place online via the Zoom application. During a total of 40 speakers spoke during the three-day program, including a keynote: John Brown (Executive Assistant Director, National Security Branch, FBI), Soraya Correa (Chief Procurement Officer, US Department of Homeland Security) and Cristiano Amon (President, Qualcomm Incorporated).

In his presentation, Miloš Ulman presented the activities of CENDAI (Center for Data Analytics and Intelligence), a platform for international cooperation at the Department of Information Technologies PEF CZU in Prague. Two presentations of student research followed. Ing. Tuhina Srivastava, a recent graduate of the Master of Business Administration program, presented research and a demo of SNES (Sentiment Evaluation Neural System), an application that uses AI to recognize emotions and micro facial expressions in real time. Bc. Margarita Gicheva, a student of the master's study program Informatics, presented research from her diploma thesis on the topic of Application of AI in Crisis Management under the supervision of Ing. Ulman and Akshay Pottathila, Ph.D. as a consultant. The presentations attracted a lot of interest from the participants, and both young researchers answered questions from the audience with an overview.

The participation of wp staff and students was supported by an internal grant from the Department of Information Technologies and funds from the Department of International Relations PEF ČZU in Prague.
