Lectures

As part of a separate series of expert lectures on current topics in the field of Information and Communication Technologies, on Monday 26 November 2018 you can meet Ing. Jakub Valenta (Accenture), an expert in software delivery, is solved using a waterfall, which is currently widely used.

In the lecture on "Software Development Life Cycle", you will learn more about software delivery using waterfall, but at the same time, new approaches are strongly advocated.

Today, the traditional waterfall approach to software delivery, which is still widely used, is beginning to complement and often replace competing approaches. To better understand the current state, we will summarize the traditional supply life cycle and further focus on the changes that are occurring with the rise of new approaches such as:
– Design thinking
– Agile development
– DevOps
and how these methods complement and compete with each other in software delivery.

Real life experiences will also be shared during the lesson, including all: the good, the bad and the ugly examples.

The lecture will be held on 26. November 2018 from 3:45 p.m in the auditorium And II.

The selected target group are 3rd-5th year students of the field of Informatics (subjects: Web design, Computer networks, Internet technologies - client side), and then students of the 4th year of the fields of Business and Administration and Operations and Economics as part of the optional subject ICT for managers, including equivalent subjects in English (Web design, Computer networks, Internet technologies – client side, ICT for managers).
