On Monday, November 18, 2019, a lecture was held from the Series of lectures by practitioners on the subject of Virtual reality@Škoda Auto. The event was organized in cooperation with Škoda Auto, as and the Department of Information Technologies PEF ČZU in Prague. The lecture was enriched by a VR presentation.

The use of virtual reality in the automotive industry has long been a reality and has been an integral part of the automotive industry for many years. It helps speed up the development of new models and the preparation of serial production. The first car where virtual reality was used at Škoda Auto was the first generation Fabia. How this technology is used at the Škoda Auto company, Ing. Leoš Červený and Ing. Ema Nováková – Marcinčínová, Ph.D., MBA.

The listeners were familiar with the positive features of using virtual reality, but also with the real problems faced by experts in ŠA.

After watching and trying out the VR demonstration with 5K resolution glasses, none of the students present doubted that today Škoda is at the forefront of the use of the most modern VR technologies.
