The CISCO CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) educational program is implemented in cooperation with CISCO and comprehensively covers the issues of computer networks at the level of network implementation and administration, including practical training. Students progress from the basics and basic networks to more complex corporate networks and theoretical network models. At each level, students learn technological concepts with the support of interactive media and apply the acquired knowledge through simulated activities. The individual levels are interconnected, can be completed gradually and are concluded with a final theoretical and practical exam. No level can be skipped. By completing the educational program, students will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills that they will apply in specialized job positions in the field of information and communication technologies. All educational materials and exams are in English.
The course is divided into 3 consecutive semesters (levels). These are:
- CCNA ITN - Introduction to Networks
- CCNA SRWE - Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials
- CCNA ENSA - Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation
Each semester contains 14-17 modules, the teaching duration is always 1x90min/week. CCNA ITN and CCNA ENSA are taught in the spring semester, CCNA SRWE is taught in the summer semester.
The CCNA ITN course is preceded by the Networking Essentials course, which is made available to students as part of the CCNA in the form of self-study.
The Department of Information Technology has been providing courses in the Cisco Networking Academy program for more than 15 years.
