SAP as a ticket to the world of business data

Students of the Faculty of Business Economics of the Czech University of Life Sciences (PEF ČZU) have achieved significant success in the field of business information systems.

Students of the Faculty of Operational Economics of the Czech University of Life Sciences (PEF ČZU) have achieved significant success in the field of business information systems. Within the subject "Accounting in ERP", part of the Business Analyst study program, eighteen students successfully tackled seven challenging case studies in the SAP S/4 HANA system - with a success rate of over 80%. They were rewarded with certificates of completion of the subject, which will open the door to the world of data analytics and ERP practice.

The

Department of Information Technologies played a key role here - not only in methodological guidance, but above all in the technical provision of teaching and the connection with practice. In collaboration with the Department of Business and Finance, she created a foundation for student learning that combines technical skills with knowledge of economic processes. It is the emphasis on the IT side of SAP systems that is pushing the teaching to PEF.

The ceremonial presentation of certificates took place in the presence of the dean emeritus and vice dean for pedagogical activities doc. Ing. Martin Pelikán, Ph.D. , subject guarantor Ing. M.Sc. Marek Dvořák, Ph.D., Ing. Ped. IGIP and expert from practice Ing. Tomas Rain, Ph.D. from STORMWARE. Their presence underlined the importance of student success and the quality of teaching, which the Department of Information Technologies has been developing for a long time with the aim of preparing graduates for the demanding requirements of the digital labor market.

This activity confirms that connecting the academic environment with IT practice can give students an important career edge.
