Diploma seminar – scientific research workshop KIT, organized by the Department of Information Technologies PEF ČZU in Prague, took place this year for the twenty-eighth time. As last year, this year it was held on two dates - February 26, 2026 and March 5, 2026 - at the CZU campus in Prague. The seminar is regularly attended by master's degree students who are completing their diploma thesis in a given year.

The venue was not only the traditional ČZU Library, but a large part of the commissions was located in the new FTZ building.

Negotiations took place in 7 committees, consisting of members of the department and experts from practice. Each committee selected and awarded the three best works based on predetermined evaluation criteria. Students who were awarded for excellent presentation of their work received diplomas.

A total of 77 graduates of the department took part in the seminar. In the second term, two commissions were conducted in English, as all students of this section presented the results of their work in English in accordance with their field of study. The work was evaluated by 34 experts from the department and representatives of practice.

The seminar has long been very positively received by students, especially thanks to the opportunity to present and defend their work "in the open" and to receive valuable feedback from experts and colleagues from various fields of study.

The department plans to organize the next year again on the premises of the ČZU and to maintain the two-day format, mainly due to the limited capacity and the high workload of the classrooms.

Many thanks go to all committee members and external experts for their active participation, as well as to the Faculty of Tropical Agriculture and the CZU Library for their support in organizing the event.
