In September 2019, representatives of the Department of Information Technologies participated in two scientific conferences in Morocco. At the "2nd Conference of the Pan African Society for Agricultural Engineering (PASAE - AfroAgEng) on ROLE OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING IN MEETING THE CHALLENGE OF GLOBAL FOOD SECURITY", the PoliRural project, of which wp is the coordinator, was presented.

The actual presentation of the project and above all the related panel discussion aroused considerable interest among the conference participants. The extensive discussion showed that the issue of rural development addressed in the PoliRural project is not specific to European countries only, but has a much wider impact, including in the developing countries of Africa.

At the 5th Interregional CIGR Conference on CHALLENGES OF WATER MOBILIZATION AND SOIL CONSERVATION IN BETTER ADAPTING TO CLIMATE CHANGE, the contribution "GIS technologies as a decision support tool in water management" was presented, presenting the department's activities in the area of using geographic information systems and managing water resources.

Based on the negotiations, a new network of cooperating organizations and other partners began to emerge.
