A view of the issue in general and from the point of view of the department&#039;s projects, especially the Life Sciences 4.0 project, was presented by Ing. Ji\u0159\u00ed Van\u011bk and Ing Michal Sto\u010des, who also brought examples of IoT instrumentation from a number of areas, e.g. sensors for agriculture or the environment. Doc. Karel Tom\u0161\u00edk from the Department of Economics PEF \u010cZU in Prague then presented a paper on the topic The need for local economy in the countryside.  The seminar also featured contributions from the Czech Center for Science and Society (Ing. Karel Charv\u00e1t), the University of West Bohemia (Ing.
