The Department of Information Technologies has already organized the 17th year of the department's graduate seminar. The scientific seminar is attended annually by master's degree students who submit a diploma thesis in the current calendar year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year's edition took place at the end of February in the new environment of the V\u0161eradice Castle. The castle courtyard provided not only seminar rooms for meetings, but also gallery space with an exhibition of paintings, an exposition of the museum of Magdalena Dobromila Rettigov\u00e1 and a restaurant with a brewery (V\u0161erad beer).<\/p>\n

The proceedings took place in three sections, which were managed by expert committees composed of members of the department and external experts. Each committee selected and awarded the three best works based on the established evaluation rules.<\/p>\n

At the seminar, 61 graduates of the department presented and defended their work, other students (from other SZZ terms) participated as a professional audience. One of the commissions was conceived as English, as 10 students of English majors also participated in the seminar. A total of 22 members of the department and representatives of practice worked in the committees. The seminar ended with the announcement of the best works and a social gathering in the premises of the restaurant and brewery.<\/p>\n

The event has been evaluated very positively by students for a long time, especially for the possibility of "presentation and defense in the open" and the possibility to consult and discuss the solved issue directly with experts from the department, practice and colleagues from various fields of PEF studies.
