Miroslav Pavelka<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0<strong>Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Economics, CZU in Prague<\/strong>, who is studying at the PEF doctoral study program in Systems Engineering and Informatics, spoke at the end of October 2025 at\u00a0<strong>A nationwide meeting of hospital directors and healthcare sector representatives<\/strong>. His lecture entitled\u00a0<strong>\u201e&quot;Cyber (in)security of hospitals: healthcare provision as a regulated service&quot;\u201c<\/strong>\u00a0was among the key expert contributions of the program and opened a fundamental discussion on the responsibility, processes and strategic management of cybersecurity in healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cybersecurity as a responsibility of hospital management<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In his speech, Ing. Miroslav Pavelka emphasized that cybersecurity is not only a technical discipline, but above all&nbsp;<strong>managerial responsibility<\/strong>. &quot;Cybersecurity is the responsibility of the hospital&#039;s top management, and that responsibility cannot be delegated. Of course, there are various roles - a cybersecurity manager or a cybersecurity management committee - and they all have their own important roles, but the ultimate responsibility always lies with the hospital&#039;s top management,&quot; said Pavelka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>His lecture highlighted the key fact that cyber incidents are often the result of errors in process management, not a lack of technology, and that effective security must be an integral part of the strategic decision-making of healthcare facility management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ing.
