In education Department of Information Technologies focuses on:

- creating and supporting e-learning
DIT provides students of undergraduate degree courses from most faculties with broad understanding of the areas of information and communication technologies that support management, including professional use of MS Office (ECDL Advanced Level). At the Faculty of Economics and Management students of non-IT study programmes learn team work in the development, implementation and use of information systems in follow-up courses. In the master's degree level students differenciate themselves further by their graduate profile - eg. in the field of public administration and regional development students are familiarized with the principles of information systems in public administration and acquire skills in their use, they learn how to evaluate Web and propose their own concepts based on practical assignments.
Students of computer science at the bachelor degree level participate in courses oriented on algorithms and programming in selected environments, programming of mobile applications, operating systems, computer networks, web design, web applications, information systems in business practice and government, their security, but also on computer graphics , e-learning, social networking, e-Government etc. in the master's degree studies students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field of computer networks, IS security and internet technologies.
DIT guarantees a total over 50 courses in the Czech language in all fields of study at FEM and other faculties of CULS in Prague. Faculty of Economics and Management has the most accredited programs in the Czech language concurrently accredited in English. Here, DIT guarantees and teaches nearly 30 subjects. The Department also guarantees and provides education in Ph.D. studies, especially in the field of information management. The teaching department actively involves a number of external specialists.
The department provides bachelor's and master's theses supervision. Own topics are ofered, but students can also come up with their own suggestions. There is also a cooperation with companies that offer topics related to, for example, internships. Detailed instructions for writing final theses are provided.
