On May 27-28, 2025, the project partners AGRITECH EU met in Almeria, Spain, for a two-day working meeting hosted by University of Almeria (UAL)Among the participants were also representatives of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, specifically Ing. Eva Kánská, Ph.D. and Assoc. Prof. Ing. Pavel Simek, Ph.D..
Project AGRITECH EU, co-funded by the European Union, supports innovation in agricultural education – focusing on the development of competency-based training and the introduction of digital technologies in rural areas.
During the meeting, the consortium:
- Evaluated the status of project activities and financial reporting
- Shared national experiences with training implementation in 6 countries
- Introduced the first Rural Labs demonstrators
- Visited UAL's modern greenhouses, including a demonstration of AR/VR technologies
- Discussed next steps and proposed continuation of the AGRITECH EU II project
The two-day event was marked by cooperation, exchange of experiences in teaching precision agriculture, and a common vision of building study programs that will support the digital agricultural sector of the participating European Union countries.
