One of the goals of the PoliRural project is to explore the future trajectory of rural development in the regions using a hybrid forecasting approach (quantitative and qualitative) taking into account the historical and current situation. Modeling of system dynamics will be used in the forecasts. During the first year of the project, a basic model template was created, from which several sample models were created to understand the usefulness of the modeling. In this post, we present one of the sample models that deals with the issue of rural attractiveness, which is the central theme of the entire Polirural project. It is not a real model because the data does not come from any local statistics. This is an exemplary model that perceives the attractiveness of the countryside as the main factor affecting the two-way flow of residents between cities and the countryside.
