Depopulation, land abandonment and loss of biodiversity are changes that can happen very slowly, but are also often irreversible. The PoliRural project will provide an online platform where rural residents, researchers and policy makers can meet, share knowledge and solve common problems. The project will evaluate the effectiveness of current regional policies on the basis of textual analysis of big data and will thus make it possible to assess the effectiveness of individual measures in a total of 12 regions in Europe and Israel. An important part of the project will be a study that will describe the trajectories of scenarios for the future development of agriculture and related sectors until 2040, with rural residents at the center.
