Course Introduction to SAP from ŠKODA AUTO

Is working with the SAP business information system boring and routine? Certainly not at ŠKODA IT! Come and get to know the amazing SAP competence center at ŠKODA AUTO for the Introduction to SAP course, which will be taught by experts from ŠKODA IT.

 

As part of the Introduction to SAP course, you will learn about:

  • the SAP enterprise system, its architecture and methods of integration in a large corporation such as ŠKODA AUTO;
  • learn about the latest SAP HANA and Leonardo technologies;
  • you will become familiar with Business Intelligence in the SAP environment;
  • we will also touch on the topic of data security in the SAP environment;
  • you will gain an overview of the functioning of a modern factory (automation, logistics, IoT);
  • you will learn how virtual reality works in ŠKODA AUTO.

The teaching will not only focus on theory, but we will show you SAP in practice using examples of solutions to specific tasks. It is part of the teaching practical excursion to the plant in Mladá Boleslav November 12, 2019.

You also wonder how it drives foreign projects? In the subject, we will take you through projects from the exotic Orient or from a once forbidden city in Russia. At the same time, we will introduce you to SAP projects connected with the production of Bentley in England.

Date login is until 3 November 2019 through an online form. Course capacity is limited!

All registered participants will be notified by email if they are accepted to the course. This email will be sent no later than November 4, 2019. 
 

The Introduction to SAP course will take place on the following dates:

  • 5/11/2019 – Teaching
    • room PEF E155, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • 12/11/2019 – Excursion
    • Mlada Boleslav, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • 11/19/2019 – Teaching
    • room PEF E155, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • 10/12/2019- End of the course
    • room PEF E155, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 

Conditions for completing the course:

  • Participation in lectures and final presentations (5/11, 12/11, 19/11 and 10/12/2019)
  • Preparation of a presentation in a team for approx. 15 minutes (topics will be assigned at the first lecture on November 5, 2019)
  • Team presentation of works in front of evaluators from PEF ČZU and ŠKODA AUTO (10/12/2019)

I have been working at ŠKODA AUTO since 2013. I started as an IT analyst focusing on logistics, production planning and layout. I currently work as an IT project manager, where I manage several international projects within the VW concern.

Vaclav Nemec (lecturer on 19/11/2019)

I have been working at ŠKODA AUTO with the SAP system since 2003, when I started as an analyst and programmer. Thanks to great projects in India, Russia and Germany, I gradually developed from project manager to the position of team leader. Now I hold the position of head of the SAP Product Center Finance, where we are responsible for the supply of SAP solutions in the field of finance for the entire Volkswagen Group. In my spare time, I take care of pets, I like hiking or cycling. From literature, I like historical detective stories.
