The seminar is mandatory for all students who are writing their bachelor thesis at DIT since it is part of the 3rd year’s credit (Bachelor Thesis 3).

Participation in the seminar is obligatory for students who expect to finish their study in May/June 2025 and they have not participated in the seminar yet.

The seminar will be split into two separate sections – the morning section (9am to noon) and the afternoon section (1pm to 4pm). The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:

- Goal of the thesis

- Methods

- Content and contribution of the thesis

· Conclusions and recommendations

· Presentation

Yellow card means that the SFE for given student and the granting of credit for Bachelor Thesis no. 3 in this academic year is at the discretion of the thesis supervisor.

Red card The goal of the seminar is to let students present and defend their work and reached results / conclusions. It is assumed that the students will present preliminary results and conclusions. The seminar also serves as practice for finals and as a source of feedback and remarks for improvements which can be added to the work before the actual submission.

The aim of the seminar is to present and defend the purpose of the work and the achieved or planned results of the solution (of course, it is assumed that the work is completed or in the final stage of processing). Students will try to defend BP in front of a committee (similar to SZZ), then they can incorporate the comments of teachers and colleagues into BP.

The seminar registration will be available from 16th of December 2024. The registration will be closed on 7th of January 2025. Each student will participate in one of the sections. Time allotted for each student is set to 10 minutes (five of which is for the presentation).
