Representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) doc. Ing. Milo\u0161 Ulman, PhD and V\u011bra Moty\u010dkov\u00e1 MA and Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources (FAFNR) prof. Ing. Lenka Kou\u0159imsk\u00e1, PhD and Ing. Luk\u00e1\u0161 Pacek, PhD participated in the opening project meeting, which took place in Athens on February 15-16, 2024.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting followed the virtual meeting of the RURBANIVE project on January 23, 2024. It was the first opportunity to meet in person and plan activities for the first six months of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horizon Europe project RUral-uRBAN synergies emerged in an immersIVE innovation ecosystem (RURBANIVE)<\/a>, which will run for four years until December 2027, is implemented by 17 organisations from 8 countries, led by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS). Officially launched on January 1, 2024, the project aims to radically change the dynamic between urban and rural areas through immersive technologies and innovative strategies. It engages a wide range of stakeholders, including citizens, public administration representatives, policymakers, and other actors, who support the exchange of knowledge and innovative solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is implemented by a team from the Department of Information Technologies (DIT) FEM and the Food Pavilion of the FAFNR CZU in Prague. Together with stakeholders, CZU will establish a laboratory for innovation and know-how transfer between the city and the countryside. The topics discussed will be food processing and production, financing options, emerging business opportunities and innovation of food products using the most modern processing technologies. DIT will develop a community-based digital platform that will deliver four online courses accompanied by engaging digital campaigns and bring together innovative outputs from seven urban-rural labs in the RURBANIVE project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
