On November 20, 2023, the Department of Information Technology PEF \u010cZU in Prague, in cooperation with the Faculty of Informatics and Management of UHK, \u0160koda Auto, as and SAP \u010cR, organized a competition, the essence of which was a logistics game, where each team represented an independent company on the virtual market.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In the second year of the competition, 46 contestants in 9 teams came to measure their economic and managerial skills (the teams were composed of Czech and foreign students)<\/span><\/p>\n

The goal of the simulation game was to establish appropriate logistics strategies, in which it was necessary to supply the central warehouse with products from the supplier and the regional warehouses connected to the central warehouse. The sales of the products sold depended on an appropriately chosen pricing policy. Product prices had to be chosen with an appropriate margin to compete with other teams. The simulation game was implemented in the environment of the SAP S\/4 HANA system. The contestants thus became familiar with the leading corporate information system.<\/span><\/p>\n

All teams were awarded small items for their efforts. The winning teams were awarded gifts from the PEF Department of Information Technologies, then from the Operations Faculty of the CZU in Prague, and last but not least from the companies SAP \u010cR and \u0160koda Auto, as, which co-organize the event. Small rewards from KIT, PEF \u010cZU, SAP \u010cR and \u0160KODA AUTO, as well as a check with a financial reward, were received by the winning teams from the hands of the dean of PEF \u010cZU in Prague doc. Ing. Tom\u00e1\u0161 \u0160ubrt, Ph.D.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first place was taken by a six-member team named\u00a0The Last Legend\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>and received a financial reward of CZK 15,000. The second place was won by the team named\u00a0Bielefelders<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and for the second place, the five-member team divided the amount of CZK 10,000. The beautiful third place was occupied by the team named\u00a0WhatSAP?<\/span><\/strong>, whose members took home a reward worth CZK 5,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Winning teams that achieved the highest value of the company, which depended not only on profit from<\/span>\u202f<\/span>of sold goods, but also on the financial responsibility resulting from the level of indebtedness, major preparations are now awaiting for the national final of the competition, which will take place in<\/span>\u202f<\/span>on the premises of \u0160koda Service Training Center (STC) Kosmonosy \/<\/span>\u202f<\/span>Mlad\u00e1 Boleslav on 8 December 2023. The winning teams from the school rounds will compete there, as well as teams from \u010cZU in Prague<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u00a0University of Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9 and University of Economics in<\/span>\u202f<\/span>Prague.<\/span><\/p>\n
