The GoDigiBioS project aims to support transformative changes important for biodiversity towards a "nature-positive" approach - i.e. governance, economy and society that actively contribute to the restoration of nature. It uses new digital and emerging technologies to stop the loss of biodiversity.

Objectives of the GoDigiBioS project:

  • Reverse biodiversity loss through systemic change.
  • Support sustainable standards and consumer patterns.
  • Use digital tools for biodiversity monitoring.
  • Innovate policies for an eco-friendly economy.
  • Collaborate on scalable and replicable solutions.
  • Seek a balance between the use of technology and the health of ecosystems.

Meet the partners

The project consortium consists of 15 organizations from 8 EU member countries (Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy and Denmark). The consortium has the necessary expertise, skills, interdisciplinary knowledge and resources to achieve the project's goals.

The team is multidisciplinary and includes academic and research institutions, technology organizations, public authorities and pioneering SMEs.

Events

Kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting of the GoDigiBioS project took place in Brussels in February, marking an important milestone in the transformation efforts towards a nature-friendly economy and society.
The meeting brought together the involved partners and project representatives to officially launch this ground-breaking initiative. The Grant Agreement, project activities, common goals, timelines and roles and responsibilities were discussed in depth.
The event was organized by IrRADIARE and the Instituto Superior de Gestão and marked the beginning of a joint journey to use new technologies to restore biodiversity.
