The Department of Information Technologies (KIT) of the Faculty of Business Economics at CZU organized a partner meeting of the international project AGRITECH EU on Friday, June 5, 2026. For the purposes of this meeting, KIT used the high-quality facilities and very nice premises with a terrace of the Faculty of Tropical Agriculture of the CZU, which provided an ideal environment for professional discussion and the presentation of technological outputs.

The main goal of the meeting was to evaluate the progress of the project so far, coordinate activities in the field of dissemination of results and define further steps of cooperation. The key point of the program was an online meeting with the official of the European Commission, Radoslav Jakub, with whom the partners discussed in detail the achieved milestones and perspectives for the future development of the project.

Event organizers, doc. Ing. Pavel Šimek, Ph.D. and Ing. Eva Kánská, Ph.D. from KIT also prepared a practical demonstration of technologies for the partners - part of the program was a visit to a specialized IoT laboratory, which was created as part of research cooperation and is one of the main technological outputs of the project. The participants also visited the VR laboratory and the HUBRU laboratory.

The work program ended with an informal part, during which the organizers guided foreign partners through the historical center of Prague. All participants closed the joint day with a dinner in the Kuchyň restaurant located in the Salmovský palác right on Hradčanské náměstí. Here, partners and guests had the opportunity to taste traditional Czech cuisine and enjoy the view of Prague in the evening from the adjacent terrace, which contributed to the relaxed atmosphere and further strengthening of partnership relations.

The AGRITECH EU project, in which KIT actively participates, is coordinated by the University of Pisa

We thank all partners for the constructive discussions and look forward to the continuation of our joint work.
