AGRITECH EU (Digital Agriculture for Sustainable Development) is a project of the Digital Europe program coordinated by the University of Pisa.

AGRITECH EU (Digital Agriculture for Sustainable Development) is a project of the Digital Europe program coordinated by the University of Pisa. After a year of activity, the project has already laid a solid foundation for the development of top skills in the field of digital agriculture thanks to a combined education model that combines technological, agronomic and socio-economic knowledge.

Let's take a look at the key moments of the past months and what's next for the project!

FOCUSED / Practical learning in Italy

The AgriTech EU specialization program in Italy has successfully entered its third month. It offers a combination of theory and practice in the field of cutting-edge digital technologies for agriculture.

👉 At CNR Pisa, the participants focused on:

  • commercial IoT boards, mainly Arduino
  • board architecture and sensor integration
  • development of programs for data collection and storage

👉 In Macerata the main topic was:

  • integrating sensor data with open data
  • innovative data visualization using augmented reality (AR)
  • practical visit to the AND Lab and demonstrations of real use

These activities equip participants with the skills needed to address the challenges of sustainable agriculture using advanced digital tools.

NEWS / AGRITECH EU at the meeting of the Digital Europe program

On 17.-18. March the AGRITECH EU team took part in the DEP project meeting in Luxembourg, co-organized by the institutions EU Digital & Tech, European Executive Agency for Health and Digitalization (HaDEA) and LEADSx2030.

Highlights included:

This action represented an important step to broaden the impact of the EU AGRITECH project and ensure that digital agriculture remains a strategic priority at European level.
